About Your Role

The Occupational Therapist (OT) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred services to participates under the National Disability Insurance Scheme. The position focuses on empowering participants to achieve their goals, enhance their independence, and improve their quality of life through tailored interventions.
The OT will collaborate with participants, families, carers, and other professionals to develop and implement therapeutic strategies aligned with NDIS goals and funding plans.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare professional reports for NDIS plan reviews, funding applications, or other required documentation.

  • Communicate with the Director/s regarding the role's responsibilities, professional expertise, program development and best practice.

  • Ensure quality standards of the organisation are maintained, including safe custody and confidentiality of all records whether in hard copy or electronic format.

  • Apply established procedures and instructions to solve problems.

  • Maintain accurate documentation to demonstrate that service procedures are followed.

  • Actively participate in the development, implementation, monitoring, regular view, and reporting of participant programs with providers.

  • Support, initiate and drive initiatives to prove service provision.

  • Promote the organisation to participants and other stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence

  • Evidence of roadworthy vehicle, insured to a minimum level covering third party fire and theft.

  • Right to Work - Australian or New Zealand Citizenship or relevant Working VISA documentation.

  • Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registration.

  • Demonstrated experience working with people with disabilities, preferably in the NDIS sector.

  • Knowledge of NDIS processes, plans and participant-centres approaches.

  • Workers should have at least five years of experience within the disability sector.
